Susanna completed her ABRSM PIANO EXAM IN GRADE 8 (MERIT) at the age of 13, and subsequently obtained her ATCL (Associate Diploma Trinity College of Music) at 18. She has more than 20 years of full-time teaching experience, out of which 12 years was in Ossia Music School and Cristofori Music School. Throughout the years, she is also constantly upgrading her teaching skills by frequent attendance of seminars organised by ABRSM and the renowned Professor Edward Ho.
A kind and patient teacher who produces results (Merit and Distinctions), she is very popular with children and young adults alike. Numerous students have passed their Grade 8 examinations under her coaching and some have progressed to become teachers themselves. Other than making beautiful music, Susanna believes learning the piano provides a great platform for positive character building (developing character traits like resilience, discipline and striving for excellence) during the learning process, which contributes to the child’s future success in life.
To further encourage students to excel in their musical endeavors, students get rewarded with a trophy for scoring a Distinction in Graded Piano examinations.
Susanna strives to make learning the piano an enjoyable activity for her students; an outlet for children to de-stress and relax, and reduces screen time.
