Ms Ying is a cheerful and experienced piano teacher with a Bachelors Degree in Piano Pedagogy from Westminster Choir College. She has studied under teachers like Ted Joselson, Jose Ramos Santana and Lillian Livingston.
She loves interacting with children and youth and imparting her knowledge and skills of piano playing and music to them. She has also taught adults who do not have any musical playing experience and finds it extremely fun and rewarding to teach them and see them grow from having zero background in piano to playing their favourite tunes.
In her over 20 years of teaching she has helped countless of students pass practical and theory for ABRSM, Trinity and other exam boards. The parents of her students find her friendly, dependable, responsible and professional. In 2019, 1 of her students took part in a local piano competition and won 2nd place. She hopes to help more students interested in piano competitions to be prepared for them.
Ms Ying teaches in her home studio in Siglap and at student’s place in Siglap, Bedok and nearby area. She is now also conducting group Theory Classes. Enquire with us on her availability to match you / your child’s schedule.
